ADVANCED THERMOFORMING MATERAILS
We use a variety of commodity, engineering grade, and proprietary materials to engineer solutions for our customers. Vantage Plastics strives to constantly research and develop our thermoforming material expertise to remain the pinnacle of innovation throughout the industry. Some of the thermoforming materials we commonly use in our manufacturing process include the following:
- HDPE (High Density Polyethylene)
- HMWPE (High Molecular Weight Polyethylene)
- ABS (Acrylonitrile-Butadiene-Styrene)
- TPU (Thermoplastic Urethane)
- TPO (Thermoplastic Polyolefin)
- PS (Polystyrene)
- PC (Polycarbonate)
- PMMA (Polymethyl-methacrylate) (Acrylic)
VanTech is our proprietary material exclusively available through Vantage Plastics. It can be applied to other materials we use to provide advantages such as anti-chafing (VanTech 80) and anti-skid (VanTech 20). Both of these characteristics help protect our customer’s sensitive products during shipping and handling, which can result in tremendous long term cost savings.
We are able to extrude and form modified/filled materials to improve characteristics, reduce price, or a combination of both. A few of the additives we use include:
- Carbon Fiber
- Calcium Carbonate
- Talc, Fire Retardant
- CS-320 Conductive additive
Products can be produced in any color.
Vantage Plastics works regularly to develop specially engineered solutions regarding non-traditional materials, special additives, and repurposed materials. We work with Edge Materials Management to recycle HMWPE with regrind, this helps decrease our environmental impact and keep cost down.
